Finn didn't sleep. He stayed awake, lying in Poe's bed like he had so many other sleepless nights, except the owner was just down the hall. It felt like a dream or some sort of trick. He wanted nothing more than to sneak down the hall, sit in a corner, and watch Poe sleep like a creep. But he wouldn't let himself go that far. Not right now, at least.
He stayed there until about thirty minutes before sunrise before pushing himself out of bed. Sleep had been just on the edge of his periphery, perhaps he even nodded off a few times, but he was up now.
After scrubbing at his eyes hard and handling his business, he very quietly padded down the hall to check on Poe. Perhaps then he'd stop overthinking all of this.
Once he did spot Poe, though, he stopped and stared just like he told himself not to do. After a moment, he stepped over to drift a hand through Poe's hair, intending to say something but the words wouldn't come. There was nothing he could say anymore. Even if Poe was awake and wanted to hear-

For all that he wanted to stay at Poe's side and truly smother him with his presence, Finn stayed out for a couple of hours. Long enough until his whole body ached and he realized that there was no way he could run away from everything he felt right now. It was just there, clinging on in a way that was much worse compared to after Poe left. But he's back now, so... didn't really matter.
A hand scratching at his scalp, Finn quietly walked back into the unit, poking his head around the corner to get a look at the couch again.
