In an effort to keep his eyes on the mission, Finn had been looking at the vines on the wall. Plants glow? That can't be good, right? So long as they didn't bother it, he reasoned everything should be fine.

But his line of sight did find Poe when the other man stumbled over his words, his mind finding itself right back in the clouds. It wasn't that he hadn't known this entire time that Poe looked good - he somehow managed to always look good - but he was suddenly more than that. Whether it was the angle or the lighting or what, Poe looked otherworldly. He looked incredible. Finn had the sudden urge to reach out and touch his arm, shoulder, neck- Just to see if he was real.

But then Poe cleared his throat, breaking the moment, and Finn shook his head again. "We should keep going," he agreed, hoping Poe didn't notice how strange he was acting. Taking a step towards the doorway was a chore in and of itself, but then he looked back at Poe to see if he wanted to keep leading and- Well, there went his head again. It was too hard to look away, his breath catching in his chest, that sweetness almost suffocating.
