Poe let out a soft sound - a low groan - his eyes falling shut as Finn claimed another kiss and Poe all too readily gave it to him. In truth, he didn’t really care either. He had a feeling practically everyone in the Resistance knew how he felt about Finn. He’d pushed it down and tried to ignore it, but now that this was happening he was thinking back to what he knew now we’re knowing looks and sideways encouragement that he had somehow completely misread.

Just like this. Somehow, even though he’d dreamed of this, he hadn’t actually seen it as a possibility. He’d been fine. He’d been happy, being Finn’s friend, getting to be around him. He’d already resigned himself to not having more than that.

A shudder travelled down his spine that was only half caused by Finn’s hand there.

“Me too,” he whispered belatedly, long after it made any sense what he was referring to. So he quickly clarified in a murmur against Finn’s lips: “I l- I like you a lot, if that wasn’t obvious...”
