Poe seemed to enjoy being in the depths of the war, much to Finn's unhappiness. Sure, someone had to do it, and Poe was the best pilot for the jobs they threw at his feet, but it did it have to be all the time? Did they all have to be in the thick of it?
Or perhaps Finn was just overly worried because of the connection he held the entire time. When Poe walked closer, there was no mistaking who the tattoo was trying to reach out for. How was that fair, though? The one person he wanted, the one person he couldn't have- He was already regretting this whole decision.
"Y-Yeah, it-... Um-" He had no idea how to begin or what to even disclose, so Finn just held his arm out to show him the activated tattoo. Better than words, he reasoned.
