Finn had awoken to darkness, cold with only Poe's body heat to keep warm, but hadn't moved a muscle. Instead, he opted to watch the other in peaceful rest, enjoying the rarity of the situation. He hoped it was recurring. While he didn't doubt that Poe actually cared for him, the future of their relationship could go anywhere no matter what they wanted.
So he stayed where he was and watched Poe sleep.
When morning had arrived, he wished they could go back. Never leave their place on the couch or that moment in time. Poe was supposed to go back to the psychologists today, and Finn felt more nervous now than any of the times before. His control had gotten much better, at least, but anything could happen. The military and government couldn't be trusted. Not with something like this.
But there was nothing Finn could, and he didn't want to put his nerves on display. "You ready?" he asked, approaching Poe to gently peck a kiss on his cheek. "Think you can handle distractions now?" At least he could joke.
