A flicker of annoyance rippled through him and he stilled for a second, hand pressed to Finn's chest, lips lingering on his shoulder. The silence stretched for a moment, before Poe carefully released the tension that had gathered in his shoulder blades.

"I want this," was what he finally said, tilting his head to kiss the underside of Finn's jaw, the words rumbling against his throat. "I want to show you everything I can do for you. Everything I can be for you."

He pulled back, that hand sliding up to gently grasp Finn's throat, stroking the side almost lovingly with his thumb. "I know what you need, Finn. I need it, too. I need it so badly I can taste it. So just trust me."
