Rey had succeeded in taking down the other god. Now, she had to worry about the ground swallowing them. Without any trees to act as anchors, her vines would do nothing. Her main intention was to pin him down and knock him, but there was nothing she could do but press her staff against his neck and try to stay on top of him as the ground fell out from under them.
