He didn't startle, exactly, but he was surprised when her voice cut his thoughts and he hadn't heard or noticed her approach. He was used to just knowing everything about the underworld - to be able to feel Finn like a second heart beat. It was difficult to surprise him. And yet...

He cleared his throat, grunting as he paused his work, and turned to her. There was a slight flush to his cheeks as if he hadn't expected to be interrupted.

"We'll need more space," was all he said by way of explanation. Was she here to try to appeal to him, again?

"If there's something specific you need, let me know. I'll build it."
