He shifted until Poe could lay beside him, providing a lot more room for Finn to pepper him with kisses. Whatever was going to happen, he refused to worry about it now. His only decision to make was between food or sleep.

"You'll keep that promise, right? About when we go home?" Like he had to ask, but he asked with a smile.

Poe smirked sleepily, pulling his pants back up - and then Finn's - and wiping his hand off on some grass.

"Yeah. Just try and stop me." He turned his attention back to Finn and leaned in to press a warm kiss to his throat.

"It's been driving me to distraction for weeks, now. So much for trying to ease you into it."

Finn at least helped with pulling his own pants up, wiggling and chuckling to himself. "I wasn't aware you knew the words ease into it, so I'm not really complaining." Clearly.

He kissed Poe's chin in response to the one on his neck. "How long have we been together back home?"

"Four months," He replied easily, settling in against him. "Maybe a little longer than that if I count all the blatant flirting we were doing before we finally just started yelling about it."

He lets out a content sigh, resting an arm over Finn's chest.

"Just didn't exactly get to spend a lot of time with you, you know? Kept getting separated for missions and stuff." He yawned, eyes drifting shut. Just give him a second. Murmuring: "... Dad used to talk about it, how he and mom had to squirrel away time during the war. I did not appreciate how tough it must have been."

It felt... special for this thing between them to be compared to Poe's parents. With the war swinging in their favor, maybe they would get to leave it, too. Have a home somewhere together, live in peace like they could on Earth. It was almost too difficult to imagine.

Finn's arm wound around Poe's shoulders, holding him close while he rested his eyes. "We'll make it," he hoped, already dosing a bit. "I know we can."

"We're going to," Poe agreed, without a trace of doubt in his voice. "Though damn if I am not just looking forward to getting to climb into a real bed with you every night."

He probably should have asked if that was even something he was allowed to do first, huh.

Poe wanted them to move in together? Well... that should have been expected, Finn supposes. After a moment, he finds that the idea isn't all that bad, either.

He smiles into Poe's hair, thinking about how they'll last long enough for sleeping together all the time to be normal. And resolutely doesn't think about the moment it'll all be pulled out from under his feet. "I'm looking forward to it, too," he murmured quietly after a long moment.

Poe yawned again, happy and content as he shuffled in closer.

"... If I took a nap right now, would you blame me..."

"No," Finn happily sighed, eyes closed as his head rested against Poe's. "I'll either nap with you or eat all your food."

It's probably most definitely going to be that first one.

Poe chuckled, and then tugged at the blanket to pull it up over their heads.

"Don't want to get sunburn," he mumbled a little blearily, and then before Finn could reply, he was out like a light.

Finn laughed, wiggling again once the world went dark only to find Poe already asleep. He just hummed and placed a kiss on his forehead.

It only took a moment of bliss before Finn followed him to sleep.
